Welcome to our website. We are a Buddhist group based in Pasadena, California, in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan
Buddhism.
Lama Khedrub serves as the resident teacher, leading
regular Tuesday night meetings. The group supports events and activities in addition to these
meetings, including study groups and retreats, and
participates in events and retreats with other Bodhipath centers on the West Coast of the USA (see the Karma Kagyu links below
for web pages for these groups). We also host visiting teachers from the lineage, including from
Dhagpo Kundreul
Ling, in Auvergne, France.

The Jewel Ornament of Liberation is the quintessential teaching of Gampopa, Milarepa's heart disciple and the spiritual father of the Kagyu lineage.
It explains the Mahayana path in a concise but thorough way.
The Jewel Ornament of Liberation combines the tradition of the Kadampa lineage, as handed down from Atisha, and the Mahamudra tradition of the great Mahasiddha Maitripa.
The Jewel Ornament of Liberation is the title of the text. What is this liberation all about?
Gampopa's text helps us question our way of seeing the world and understand the dissatisfaction and anxiety that goes with it.
Gampopa allows us to open our eyes, tap the power of our minds, and free ourselves from limitations so that we can transform our world.
This text is a manual of how to start one's study and practice on the Path, and it outlines every step to its final goal: liberation.
